Film buffs know that, before Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo, there was Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. The original 1968 version of The Thomas Crown Affair (Wikipedia, IMDb) is still fondly remembered by some and hard to beat, even after some 40 years. Who would have thought that a chess game could be so full of innuendo? Though the critics were uncertain about the movie, and it did only fair at the box office, it accumulated a group of fans who have turned it into something of a non-SF cult sensation — enough so that Brosnan and Russo did that 1999 remake.
Faye Dunaway did several costume shots for the film, and this is one of them. Stylish and ready for an evening, judging by the hairstyle; this is not the sort of thing an insurance investigator would usually wear to the office (grin).
